Brooke Trumpower

Meet Brooke! With over 20 years of experience teaching lessons, she has undeniably left her mark on the swimming community. Having taught hundreds of students across various pools, her dedication to swim education is unmatched. Brooke has coached for over a decade and currently coaches the Ontario High School team, Middle School team, Rocket Swim Club, and Clearfork Swim Club in the summer.

In the competitive realm Brooke has earned many accolades. Most recently her Ontario High School boys team finished as the Ohio State Runner-Up while her girls team earned a 7th place overall finish at the OHSAA State Championship.  In 2025 she was named the OHSAA Boys Division 2 Coach of the Year. Her exceptional coaching is further exemplified by an astounding 110 All-Ohio swimming awards, 37 8-under Ohio championship titles, and 120 top-eight finishes (32 Gold, 24 Silver, 15 Bronze) at the Ohio Junior Championships.​

As a mother of eight children, Brooke understands firsthand the importance of teaching kids to swim for their safety. She has a natural talent for working with children and creates a nurturing environment that encourages them to learn and grow. Her passion for teaching and coaching is clear to see in the progress her students make and the relationships she builds with them.

Meet Evan! Evan has taught lessons for over seven years, gaining experience teaching everything from the basics of swimming to advanced stroke technique, and everything in between. With students ranging from one to sixty-seven years old, his friendliness, patience, and passion for working with people are clear to see. Evan brings a sense of fun and cheerfulness to every lesson creating an engaging learning environment that fosters a love for swimming.

In 2025 Evan joined the Ontario High School swim team as an assistant coach and helped lead them to their most successful year in program history. Being safety focused, he worked as a lifeguard for five years and made five rescues in that time. Evan recently graduated with honors from the University of Akron, where he worked as Head Guard, Lifeguard Instructor, and Water Safety Instructor at the university’s recreation center- he even operated the Colorado Timing touchpad System for collegiate meets.

A competitive swimmer for 12 years, Evan was an All-Ohio award winner and past record holder at Clearfork Swim Club and Ontario High School. With his love for the sport, he offers a mix of analytical insights and informative coaching techniques. Join Evan for an enriching swim experience that blends expertise, safety, and joy in the pool!

Brienne Trumpower

Meet Brienne! Brienne is a dedicated student-athlete at the University of Akron, where she is a member of the nationally ranked, MAC champion Zips Women’s Swim Team. This past season Brie was a part of the MAC Champion 800 Free Relay and received All-MAC academic honors. She has been featured in Sports Illustrated, and is now a student in the Williams Honors College, where she balances her athletic achievements with academic excellence. Brie brings both analytical insight and an encouraging spirit to everything she does!

During her time in high school Brienne was a 16-time multi-sport All-Ohioan and Academic All-American, with over 200 victories and had 60 record-breaking performances. She is a Red Cross-certified lifeguard and has taught as a swim instructor in Akron, helping swimmers of all levels grow in skill and confidence.

Beyond the pool, Brienne is a leader. She serves on the University of Akron’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and leads Athletes in Action, a Bible study group for student-athletes. Whether she’s competing, teaching, or mentoring, Brienne is passionate about helping others reach their full potential!

Grantham Trumpower

Meet Grantham! Grantham brings an electrifying energy to the pool, combining elite performance with a passion for leading others. A state champion and state record holder in the 200 Freestyle Relay, he stands out as one of the top swimmers in Ohio. During his senior season, he also earned state runner-up finishes in the 50 freestyle and medley relay, along with a 3rd place finish in the 100 freestyle- leading his team to a program best runner-up finish at the State Championship. A 14-time All-Ohioan and multi-event All-American consideration athlete, Grantham has accumulated 16 conference and sectional titles, eleven district titles, and holds multiple school and conference records. His teammates recognized his leadership and dedication by voting him OHS Most Valuable Swimmer on multiple occasions. As an honors student and National Honor Society member, Grantham excels academically while maintaining his passion for swimming. He is actively involved in his school community as a member of the Drug Free Seniors program and by volunteering his time to invest in youth through Ontario’s Buddy Mentoring program.

Grantham is committed to water safety as a Red-Cross certified lifeguard and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. He loves to make students laugh while teaching them valuable life skills. Whether he’s racing, teaching, or encouraging others, Grantham’s fun and energetic presence make an impact wherever he goes!

Mirielle Trumpower

Meet Mirielle! Mirielle is a compassionate instructor and a state runner-up in both the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly at the OHSAA State Championships. Her 100 butterfly has her in consideration for All-American honors. A 10-time All-Ohioan, Mirielle has earned 10 state medals, 12 conference championships, and holds 7 school records. She was named Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year for three consecutive years. Mirielle has qualified to swim in the Junior National Championships in Irvine, California this summer and will also be competing in the TYR Pro Series alongside some of the nation’s top athletes. Her achievements have even earned her recognition in Sports Illustrated Kids, and she has committed to continue her career at the Division 1 level at Liberty University.

As an honors student and National Honor Society member, Mirielle demonstrates excellence both in the classroom and beyond. She is actively involved in her school community through the Warrior Leadership Council and Key Club, where she consistently volunteers her time and gives back, reflecting her strong character and commitment to serving others.

A Red Cross-certified lifeguard, Mirielle is passionate about water safety and helping others develop their skills in the pool. Known for her kind and caring nature, she fosters a supportive environment for her students. From competing to coaching, Mirielle’s love for swimming shines through in everything she does!
